MW-scale SOEC electrolysers with up to 90% electrical efficiency

Clean hydrogen the world can afford

Dynelectro was founded in 2018 by Søren Højgaard Jensen. After more than 20 years of research in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), solid oxide electrolyser cells (SOEC), power conversion and batteries, he realised that he had the key to get SOEC from research to commercial systems. This enables the worlds most effective power-to-X system with a conversion of up to 90% of electric energy into hydrogen. Our proprietary technology, which we call AC:DC, means that the SOEC stacks are able to operate in both electrolyser and fuel cell mode. The solution effectively eliminates stack degradation and extends the stack lifetime with a factor 5.

In the second half of 2025 Dynelectro, has commissioned its first 250 kW system with a 1 MW system in production for delivery in 2026. The systems deliver up to 27 kg hydrogen per MWh of energy consumed and the technology is scalable, enabling up to 5 MW production capacity with a small footprint.
